The Sheridan College Music Technology Program offers a comprehensive course of study that leads to a Certificate of Completion in Music Technology or an Associate of Fine Arts Degree. The curriculum focuses on recording arts, digital audio production and editing, music engraving, live sound operation, performance, and self-promotion. Our students can access the latest hardware and software in our multimedia lab and recording studio. They enjoy a low student-to-teacher ratio, affordable tuition rates, and a scenic campus at the base of the Big Horn Mountains.

Certificate of Completion

The Certificate of Completion in Music Technology has several attractive features that are collectively unique to this particular program:

  • The sequence of four core courses can be conveniently completed either in a single academic year or spread out over two academic years.
  • This concise certificate consists of 16 credits, making it practical to attain as either a stand-alone certificate or a supplement to another degree.
  • The certificate's curriculum gives students an overview of various music tech concepts, techniques, and applications.
  • Emphasis is placed on getting the most out of software and equipment used by today's independent musicians.
  • No prior music training is necessary…only an interest in using technology to create and record music is needed to get started.
